Map of Medicine

Map of Medicine

Map of Medicine is a collection of evidence-based, practice-informed care maps which connect all the knowledge and services around a clinical condition.

The Map of Medicine can be used to communicate, compare and optimise the patient journey from first assessment, through secondary evaluation and management.

The care maps can be customised to reflect local needs, more than 50 NHS communities are using the Map to improve clinical outcomes and the patient experience in their areas, and they provide a benchmark internationally.

OCV is working with Map of Medicine and the Primary Care Vision 2020 Group on its new Visual Loss Pathway due in 2013. We hope to improve and make more consistent the assessment, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of DVS sufferers.
