Get involved

Thank you for your interest in helping One Clear Vision.

Below are some ways you can assist us, but it's not exhaustive.  We are always happy to discuss ways you can contribute and to work with you on your ideas.  Please contact us.

Donating

There are a number of ways you can donate to One Clear Vision.  Please visit our donations page for further details.

Fund raising

Your efforts will help to highlight our condition as well as bringing people together to have fun whilst working towards our aims.

We would be grateful if you are considering fund raising that you do not refer to the One Clear Vision as a registered charity as it is not. If you are embarking on a type of fund raising which may carry an element of risk you may wish to consider your position regarding insurance cover. If you require further information please refer to the Institute of Fundraising website (link opens in new window).

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering then please contact us giving brief details of your skills and interest in the organisation.

We value all contributions.  In particular, we are looking for skilled professionals in the following areas: research, medicine, law, education, finance, fund-raising and events organising, marketing, translation, journalism, graphic design.

We are also looking for a blogger to come on board who is prepared to talk about their experiences with the condition.

Our current projects:

Flash-based floater simulation

Explaining the difference between simple vitreous floaters and the severe, debilitating floaters associated with advanced vitreous degeneration has always been a challenge. This distinction is important and a realistic, visual simulation which demonstrates the fluidic, "swirly" motion and vision obscuring effects of floaters would serve as a powerful educational tool.  One Clear Vision would like to host a realistic simulation on this web site. Ideally, this simulation would feature a mouse/motion responsive, animated floater layer, over an immersive video (link opens in new window) or a simple panoramic image (link opens in new window).

Surgeon interviews

We'd like to build on our collection by adding interviews with surgeons, ophthalmologists, and researchers. If you are somebody who can facilitate this or recommend someone we should approach then please let us know.

Research projects

If you suffer from severe floaters, please contribute to the body of knowledge about the condition by completing our online sufferer survey .

One Clear Vision is actively trying to build relationships with individual researchers and research intitutions. If you are in a position to conduct or to support research into this condition, please contact us.
