We’re really pleased to let you know that we have recruited a new trustee Secretary, Dan Lewi.
Dan Lewi holds an MSc in Psychology from Liverpool University and spent his formative years working in the City of London, gaining experience in marketing, new issue funding and eCommerce platforms in the banking industry. In 2011 his eldest daughter was diagnosed with a terminal illness called Tay-Sachs at the age of 15 months. Upon finding that there was no dedicated charity providing support for families affected by this disease he set set-up the Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation with his wife and he now runs the day to day management of this charity.
Under Dan’s leadership The CATS Foundation has gone from strength to strength and provides a variety of services to families. The charity was recently nominated as the patient organisation for a clinical trial into Tay-Sachs using gene therapy and he is actively involved in this ground breaking work. As a small charity Dan has been able to gain experience in a variety of roles and has developed skills in fundraising, grant writing and marketing.
Dan is delighted to be joining a young and vibrant charity like One Clear Vision and believes that the work the charity undertakes has the potential to make a huge impact on many people affected by DVS. He hopes that his experience in running another charity will help One Clear Vision meet is objectives and goals.<
